February 15 - girls basketball teams will travel to Pine River - game time is 6 pm

Registration is now open for the Wexford-Missaukee Career Tech Center summer camps, which will be held June 18-20. Cost is $5.00 and is open to students in grades 6 through 8. Camp will be held from 9 am to 12 noon. Selected from automotive, BMA scrapbooking, CAD and Machining, computer and electronics, culinary camp, diesel power mechanics, digital media productions, health careers, junior police academy, power sports and equipment or woodworking. March 24 - Reed City 7th Annual 3 on 3 Tournament will be held. Cost is $80 per team. Register by March 20. Those interested may pick up a form in the office.

Reminder to students.... Reminder to students walking to the high school/elementary building.... you must walk to Huron Street and then walk over to the high school/elementary building. You are NOT to walk on Houghton Street.

Girls basketball game results The 7th grade girls’ basketball team won last night at home, 20 to 10 against Evart. The 8th grade girls continued their undefeated season with a win of 33 to 29.

Our 7^th and 8^th grade basketball teams traveled to Manton last night. In the 7^th grade game our team scared an undefeated Manton 7^th grade team playing extremely well but fell short 28-26 in the end. The 8th grade girls finished their middle school careers with a win last night against the Ramblers of McBain. LC dropped the first game 21-16 but came fighting in the second 23-21 to force it to three and won the third 21-15. They continued their playing well and came out with a win in the 4th 21-19 before dropping the 5th 17-21. They finished the year being 11-1 and finished middle school 26-1, congratulations girls. ANNOUNCEMENTS – Friday, October 21, 2011

Thank you to everyone who participated in Hats On Day. You raised $172 dollars for the Foundation for Children With Cancer. All money goes directly to the foundation and will be used to help families pay for medical bills, traveling costs, or any other expenses that may occur during treatment. Congratulations to all who participated. 

The City of Lake City will celebrate Halloween with trick or treating between the hours of 6 and 8 pm on Monday, October 31.

The Missaukee District Library will hold a family Halloween bash on Saturday, October 29^th beginning at 10 am. There will be crafts, games, prizes. Costumes are encouraged.

The Lake City Middle School Cross Country team concluded their season Tuesday at the final Conference Jamboree meet at Pine River. Despite the cold weather, great runs were had by all! Nolan Linderman ran a 13:55 and came in 8th over all, earning himself Highland Conference honors! Nick Trolz ran 16:23, Ravi Patel ran a personal best of 17:41, and Sadie Henneman ran 19:03. Congratulations Trojan Runners for a great meet and a great season!

Middle school football team lost their last game last night – they finished their season with a record of 5-1. All four coaches are proud of you.

The 8th grade volleyball made a great come back after their loss to Beal City winning 3 games of 5 last night against Pine River. Pine River won the first game 22-25 and then the girls rallied together to win 3 straight 25-13, 25-17, 25-23 and dropped the last 23-25. 7^th grade lost to Pine River. Catch them next Monday at McBain at 6.

Wednesday the Middle School football team won by a score of 28-13. They improved their record to 5-0. Last night the 7^th grade volleyball team lost to NMC 26-24, 15-21 and 16-25. 8^th grade won over NMC.
