The Mobile Dentists will be here again June 3 and 4.  Pick up a form in the office.  Forms are due back by Monday, May 12.

 

Attention 8th graders:  Courtesy Driving School will be available starting class on Monday, May 12th at Lake City High School.  Class will end June 2nd.  Your birthday must be before Sept 12, 1993 to qualify.  Information pamphlets are in the office

 

There are sign up sheets in the office for any 6th or 7th graders interested in running cross country or playing football next school year. 

 

There will be a meeting Tuesday for current 8th graders interested in running Cross Country next year, listen for the announcement.

Last night the girls track team won handily over Evart.  Final score was Evart 66 Lake City 94.

Taking 1st for LC were Tylor Londak in the 400 Kailey Flint in the 100 and pole vault, Mikala Granger in the high jump, and Megan Atkins in both the 55 hurdles and the 200 hurdles.  2nds for Lake City were achieved by Britnae Barkley in the 3200, Sam Roach in the Vault. Brook Horton in the Long jump and Lorene Horan in the 70!!!  Also placing for LC were Rachel Gaylord, 3rd in the 70 and 4th in the 800 Brittnae Barkley and Brook Horton were 3rd and 4th respectively in the 100 m dash.  Alyssa Wade snagged a 3rd in the Long jump.    The girls did a nice job!

 

The Lake City Boys walked into Wednesday’s track meet with an undefeated dual meet record to defend.  Evart came in undefeated, also.  An all-out battle on the track ensued.

The running events started off with:

James Cox finishing second in the 3200 meter run and Troy Flint placing a respectable fourth.

Zack Peery finished first in the 55 meter hurdles with Alec Ash finishing second and Kevin Smith finishing fourth.

Jared Hansen, Zack Lichon, Levi Burkholder and Zack Peery stormed to a 10 second victory over the Evart in the 800 meter relay.

Jake Siler and Kyler Root teamed up for a second and third place finish in the 800 meter run.

The duo of James Cox and Jeramie Lyle finished first and second in the 1600 meter run.

Caleb Davenport and Ethan Hinkston finished second and fourth in the 100 meter dash.

Nolan Davenport stormed to victory in the 400 meter dash with Jared Hansen two seconds behind for the second place finish.  Alec Ash placed fourth.

The 70 meter dash found Storm Francisco, Zack Lichon and Jimmy Hollars cruising to second, third and fourth place finishes.

Zack Peery fought off an Evart runner to win the 200 meter hurdles.  Dan Liestenfelts took the third place points.

Nolan Davenport fought hard in the 200 meter dash to edge out an Evart runner for the victory.  Storm Francisco and Ethan Hinkston rounded out the spots, taking third and fourth.

The 1600 meter relay of Ryan Vincent, Jared Hansen, Kyler Root and Troy Flint drove to nearly 10 second victory over the Evart boys.

Zack Lichon, Jimmy Hollars, Ethan Hinkston and Caleb Davenport maintained a 2 second lead to take the win in the 400 meter relay.

In the field events, the Trojans continued to work as a team to rack up points.

Kevin Smith, Alec Ash and Levi Burkholder finished second, third and fourth in the long jump.

Tim Sherman tied for second in the shot put.

Nolan Davenport and Dan Liestenfelts finished second and fourth in the high jump.

Jake Siler and Ryan Vincent finished first and third in the pole vault.

When all was said and done, the Evart squad had scored 68.5 points.  The Trojans had amassed 94.5 points.  The Trojan boys finished their regular season undefeated!  Congratulations boys, be ready to work hard for the conference meet.

Wednesday morning during homeroom will be the annual “Aces Walk”, all grades will be walking at the track during homeroom.  The walk will be cancelled if it is raining.

Students are not to have gum when on the track, please discard your gum before going outside.

This is the last day of the Book Fair in the library. Library books may be returned or renewed, please do not send students to check out new books.
