Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Friday, May 09, 2014

AmeriGas School Days Program offers schools a $0.02 per gallon incentive. Through the School Day Program, AmeriGas will give our school up to $2,000.00 per year to purchase items for any school-related need with funds earned from the School Days Program. Schools have purchased books, computers, sports equipment, band equipment, art materials and more. All you have to do is save your AmeriGas (Holton's LP Gas) receipts and drop them into one of our school offices. It's that simple!


Pop Warner football and cheer sign up! will be on Tuesday and Thursday, May 13 and 15 from 5:30 to 8 pm in the high school lobby. Mark your calendars!


Area Events! Brought to you by the Cadillac Veterinary Technology Program at Baker. Saturday, May 10th, 10 am – 4 pm at the Baker of Cadillac campus. This is a free event open to the community. There will be face painting, a teddy bear clinic (bring your wounded teddy bear!), petting zoo, reptile exhibit, adoption opportunities, raffles, lots of giveaways and many more animals and exhibits to enjoy. This is a family-oriented, educational opportunity for people of all ages.


Yearbook sale has been extended to the end of May. If you have not yet ordered your yearbook, forms are available in the office or library. Cost is $15.00.


3 on 3 tournament information We have information on Evart's 3 on 3 tournament scheduled for June 21. Stop in the office if you are interested.

 

HS student/parent orientation meeting will be held for our current 8th grade student on Tuesday, May 13 beginning a 6 pm in the high school auditorium.

 

Attention Drivers Ed students: Courtesy Driving school is offering segment I and Segment II class in July. Total cost is $254. You must be 14 years and 8 months by the first day of class to be eligible. Segment II class is July 21, 22 and 24. You must have your level I license for 90 days and have 30 driving hours completed. Total cost is $40, form are available in the middle school office.


Football meeting..... there will be a meeting for all students interested in playing football next year on Monday, May 12 during home room in the gym.


Fine Arts Fair and Spring Concert The will be held on May 19th beginning at 5:30 p.m. The 6th grade will start off the spring concert at 6:30; 7th grade at 7:00 and 8th grade at 7:30.

Today students will have an opportunity to duct tape Mr. Robertson to the wall during lunch. You will be able to purchase 3 foot pieces of duct tape for one dollar each. All monies will go toward the $2000.00 total for shaving Mr. Robertson’s head.

Track results: The Lake City boys ran into a very talented Manton Ranger team yesterday.  Despite putting up a great effort the Trojans suffered their first defeat, losing by a score of 97.5 to 62.5. Last night the lady Trojans won against both Manton and Marion. The score to the Manton meet was 93 to 67 and the score to Marion was 108 to 51.  A great team effort was given by all.
