ANNOUNCEMENTS

Friday, March 25, 2011

There will be an open gym for girls 7th and 8th graders for basketball this Sunday from noon to 2:00 PM in the middle school gym.

There will be a dance on Friday, April 8.

Because of snow days, we are extending the Pennies for Patients campaign until April 8, the Friday after Spring Break.  This will also allow you to gather money from folks you may see during the break!

Mr. Robertson will still allow his head to be shaved if we reach the $1500 goal, so go get that money!

Yearbooks can still be purchased if students did not do so yet. Forms can be picked up in the library and office.

Missaukee Area Baseball Association is holding sign-ups in the high school lobby from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates:  April 5, and April 7.  There is also a sign-up sheet in the middle school office.

Missaukee County Sheriff's office is holding an ORV training class on April 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students must pre-register for the event by calling 839-4338 ext. 1.

The Wexford-Missaukee Career Tech Center will be holding summer camps June 15-17.  Explore one of many exciting 3-day camps full of hands-on activities and programs.  This camp is open to grade 6 to 8.  Stop in the office and pick up a blue form.

A reminder to students walking to the high school/elementary building, you need to go one street towards town and then walk to the other building.  You are not to walk on Houghton Street.  Along this same note, students should not be walking through someone's yard to get to or from school.  Please walk on the sidewalk or road's edge.

Students:  Remember if you are absent from school you or your parents can check the teachers' blog to see what assignments you missed.

This is the second week of our Pennies for Patients collection campaign.  Last week we raised $428.52 to help cure cancer, and this week, we need to keep working even harder.  Mr. Robertson has a challenge for Lake City Middle School students.  If you raise $1500 for Pennies for Patients by this Friday, March 25, he will allow someone to shave his head.  Students may purchase a ticket for .50 at lunch on Friday for an opportunity to wield the razor.  The name chosen out of the hat will be the "Barber of the Day!"

Lunch charges are due before you leave for spring break.
