ANNOUNCEMENTS – Friday, December 02, 2011

7th and 8th grade boys won a double header last night in Marion. The 7th grade won the first one 42 to 27 and the 8th grade won the second 38-15 – great job guys!

There is a sign-up sheet in the office for 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball.  Tryouts will begin after the Christmas holiday.

Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office is holding their snowmobile training class on December 10th, 8 am to 3 pm at the EMS building on 1st street.  Students must pre-register by calling 839-4338.

The Trojan Food Zone is now open for business at the high school concession stand.  Reasonably priced food and beverages will be available on a daily basis from 3:30 to 4 pm.

We are off to a good start with our Project Christmas Food Drive.  As of Dec. 1, we already have 240 items donated!  Way to go! Currently, Mrs. Nowak is taking the lead position with 92 items!  Keep an eye on the graphs outside of Ms. Porter’s office to keep track of how your homeroom is doing…and keep those food items coming!  Lake City Middle School  Food Drive for Project Christmas will run through next Friday, December 9.  Today’s food drive helpers please report to Ms. Porter’s office at this time

The Ardis Missaukee Library is hosting a Family Christmas Party on Saturday, December 10th at 10 a.m.  Throughout winter break, the library is offering a variety of activities, including movies, crafts, and a Wii day.  Call the library for more information – 839-2166. 

Reminder to students walking to the high school/elementary building... you must walk to Huron Street,  then walk over to the high school/elementary building.  You are not to walk on Houghton Street.

The Trojan Food  Zone is now open for business at the high school concession stand.  Reasonably priced food and beverages will be available on a daily basis from 3:30 to 4 pm.

Lake City Middle School  Food Drive for Project Christmas will run through through next Friday, December 9.  Homerooms will be competing to see who can bring in the most non-perishable food items.  The winning homeroom will be rewarded with an ice cream sundae party!
