Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Friday, December 12, 2014

8th Grade Orders for Books If you are in 8th grade and haven't received a book yet from Mrs. Haskin she has forms that you can look at. Mrs. Haskin will need the book form returned by Dec. 17, especially if you want a Mine Craft book. Thank you!

There will be an open gym on Monday, December 15 for 7th grade girls interested in playing basketball. The gym will be open 3:30 to 5 pm

YMCA Honor Roll Event 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will heading to the YMCA this morning to enjoy the facilities there for a few hours. All students and chaperones will be back to the school by 11:05.

Middle School Dance Today is the dance from 3:05-5:00. The cost is $2. Pizza and pop will be sold. Let's have a great time!

Project Christmas Can Drive Let's give a big shout out to the middle school families who donated to the Project Christmas Food Drive! 499 food items were delivered yesterday with the winning advisory class being Mrs. Gottschall's class. More details to come on when Mrs. Gottschall's class will be enjoying their "ice cream sundae" party.

Girls Basketball Try-outs Girls basketball try-outs will be Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 17th & 18th. 8th grade is from 3:30-5 and 7th grade 5-6:30pm.

Middle School Band Concert The Middle School Band Concert is next Tuesday at 7pm here at the middle school. We look forward to hearing wonderful music from our band students!

Ipad Reminders Do not have your ipads in the cafeteria or around food. You should be using your locker combination at all times during the day. Thank you for keeping them safe and using them wisely.

Project Christmas Can Drive Today was the last day of the food drive. We thank all of the families that donated to this wonderful cause! We will announce the winning class of the "ice cream sundae" party soon!

Winter Book Fair The Winter Book Fair continues in the library through this Friday, Dec. 12. The hours available to shop are 8:00a-3:30p. Check it out for special Christmas gifts!

Popcorn Day is Tomorrow! Today is the last day to let your advisory teacher know if you would like to purchase a bag of popcorn for $.50.

Boys Basketball Scores The 7th graders lost the first game of the night to Pine River 45-57. They have a record of 4 -5. The 8th grade won their game with a score of 42-31. They now have a record of 8-1. Good job team!

Middle School Dance This Friday is the second middle school dance from 3:05-5:00. The cost is $2. Pizza and pop will be sold. Jason Smith will dj again. Please have your ride here at 5:00.

Project Christmas Can Drive More canned goods are arriving daily from students with one impressive donation of 255 puts Mrs. Gottschall's class in the lead. You can continue to donate through Thursday, Dec. 11. Remember that the winning advisory class will be rewarded with an ice cream sundae party! Remember to label your food with your Advisory Teacher’s name and bring them to Ms. Porter’s office in the morning before school.
