Sign-up and parent meeting for the 4^th-6^th grade boys travel basketball team will be held on Tuesday, November 30 at 6:30 in the High School Library.  This is the sign-up for the travel league, not the Saturday morning basketball sponsored by the varsity basketball.  For more information on the travel basketball sign-up, call Jeff Marion at 231-920-8376

 

7^th and 8^th grade Natural Helpers,

Please bring your LEAD, Jr. permission slips in to Mrs. Fichtner as soon as possible.

 

This Christmas hundreds of children in Missaukee County will go without a lot of the things we take for granted.  Help give them a special holiday.  Donate new, unwrapped toys in homeroom.  Our goal is to collect 100 toys in 7 days.  There is also a collection box in the middle school office.  Let’s show everyone what it’s like to have a Merry Christmas.

 

The Missaukee County Road Commission requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place.  We ask that you be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same time that the buses are picking up students.  We urge you to make sure that you wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop.  It is important that we work together to make certain of your safety.

 

Families can register for Project Christmas now through December 8^th by calling Friends Ministry.  More information is available in the Middle School office. 

 

The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a snowmobile training class on December 4 from 8 am to 3 pm at the EMS building on First Street.  Students need to pre-register by calling the Sheriff’s Office at 839-4338, extension 1.  Lunch will not be provided, so remember to bring a sack lunch.

 

A reminder to students walking to the high school/elementary building, you need to go one street towards town and then walk to the other building.  You are not to walk on Houghton Street.  Along this same note, students should not be walking through someone’s yard to get to or from school.  Please walk on the sidewalk or road’s edge.

 

Students: Remember if you are absent from school you or your parents can check the teachers’ blog to see what assignments you missed.

Thanks to everyone who participated in Hats On Day.  You raised $203.75 for the Foundation For Children With Cancer. Every bit of that will go back to the foundation to help families with expenses.
