Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Tuesday, November 22, 2016

MS Boys Basket Ball Scores from 11/21/2016 The 7th grade boys won big over McBain in the opener. The 8th graders fell 41-47 in the nightcap.


Mobile Dentist will be in the LC District on December 16. Applications are in the office.


HOOP Christmas Starting November 16th, there will be a box in the Middle School Office to collect toys for the 52nd annual HOOP Christmas Party. The party provides toys to underprivileged children, from newborn to 14 years old, in Missaukee County. Please feel free to bring in unwrapped new toys for donation.


Stuffed Animals Wanted The Manton Rotary is collecting new or gently used stuffed animals to be give out at Project Christmas. New or gently used stuffed animals will be collected until December 8. Thank you for any donations to this worthy cause!


Non-perishable Food Drive for Project Christmas- The Natural Helpers are excited to host a non-perishable food drive for Project Christmas. Beginning on the Monday after Thanksgiving break (November 28), you can start bringing in your donations. We will be collecting food until December 8. The items will be collected during Advisory time. You are competing with all the other Advisory classes to see who can bring in the most items. The winning Advisory class will be rewarded with an ice cream sundae party hosted by the Natural Helpers.


Winter Sport Passes- are now available. Family=$50, Adult individual=$25, student individual=$10. Passes are good for all home games at middle and high school.


Free Throw-a-Thon Reminder to all boys basketball players the Free Throw-a-Thon is next Wednesday November 30th. Don't wait to start working on pledges and donations!

Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Friday, November 18, 2016

Artisan Craft Market this Saturday- The 2nd annual Lake City Holiday Artisan Craft Market will be held this Saturday, November 19th from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the high school. There will be over 75 booths of crafters & artisans selling their wares, concessions, live music and lots of family fun!


MS Boys Basketball Vs Pine River=Win Both the 7th and 8th grade boys played Pine River last night. The 7th graders started the winning off with a 40-31 win. The 8th grade finished with a 49-40. Both teamed played well.

Solo and Ensemble Congratulations to band students Morgan Eisenga and Katlyn House. Over the weekend they performed at the Solo and Ensemble Festival held in Cadillac. Both students earned 'Superior' ratings for their solo performances. This is the highest rating given to students. Great job ladies!!

7th & 8th Basketball Winning Scores for 11/10 Both the 7th and 8th grade boys won their games last night against Marion. The 7th grade started the winning with a 68-23 victory. The 8th grade finished the night with a 66-4 win.


6th Grade Girls Basketball Forms are due today for the 5th & 6th Grade Girls Traveling Basketball Program. The program will begin their first practice of the season on November 14th. The cost is $20 with forms available across from the office.

MS Picture Retakes today  We will announce when we are ready for students to go to room 164 for pictures. GPI will be here after pictures in the high school, mid-morning.

7th & 8th Grade Halloween Band Concert is tonight, Friday, at 6:00pm. This will be a SPOOKtacular event!! All band students participating in the concert need to be here at 5:30 to warm-up.


Halloween Next Monday you can dress for the Halloween occasion. Please be sure that your costume is school appropriate; no weapons or masks.


Miller's Haunted Mansion Miller's Corner will again be hosting it's Miller's Haunted Mansion with proceeds going toward Camp Rotary for the 6th Grade. This year they are also excepting gently used/new winter coats, snow pants, socks, and boots for Friends for Students of LC Schools. To make this haunting even more exciting there is a 50/50 game of chance! We hope to see you there; Thursday-Saturday, October 27-29th from 8:00p-11:00p.
