Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Friday, February 03, 2012

February 6 - middle school girls basketball team will host Manton. Game time 5 pm


February 9 - middle school girls basketball teams take on Evart at home - game time at 5 pm


February 13 - middle school girls basketball teams will travel to McBain - game time 6 pm


February 14 - Candygrams Student Council will begin selling Valentine Candygrams at lunch. Candygrams are like Valentine cards you send, but they will be delivered with a chocolate during homeroom on Valentine’s Day. They cost a quarter for one or 5 for a $1.


February 15 - girls basketball teams will travel to Pine River - game time is 6 pm


February 15 - Parent Teacher Conferences will be held at the middle school. Teachers will be available from 5 to 8 pm


Registration is now open for the Wexford-Missaukee Career Tech Center summer camps, which will be held June 18-20. Cost is $5.00 and is open to students in grades 6 through 8. Camp will be held from 9 am to 12 noon. Selected from automotive, BMA scrapbooking, CAD and Machining, computer and electronics, culinary camp, diesel power mechanics, digital media productions, health careers, junior police academy, power sports and equipment or woodworking. February 22 - Enjoy the last game of the girls basketball season. The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams will host the Marion Eagles. Game time is 5 pm

Camp Rotary week two - March 5 to 9


Trojan Food Zone.... The Trojan Food Zone is now open for business at the high school concession stand. Reasonably priced food and beverages are available on a daily basis beginning at 3:30 p.m. If you have questions, please call Ron Homan (839-6021).


Reminder to students.... Reminder to students walking to the high school/elementary building.... you must walk to Huron Street and then walk over to the high school/elementary building. You are NOT to walk on Houghton Street.

Snow plows.... A reminder to students that the Missaukee County Road Commission snow plows are out on the roads at the same time you are waiting for the busses in the morning. Please be mindful to stay away from the edge of the roadway when snow plows approach.


February 2 - Middle school girls basketball ...team will take on NMC at home beginning at 5 pm.


February 3 - Fans' Choice Game of the Week! The high school basketball season is on a roll! 9&10 News and Padnos are proud to be fans of our local athletes by offering the Fans' Choice Game of the Week! Each week several schools’ basketball games will be included in a poll on www.9and10news.com for viewers to vote on. The game with the most votes will be featured on that week’s edition of 9&10 News Sports Overtime and the hosting team of that game will receive a $100 donation to their Athletic Department from Padnos! Our Friday night game is included in this week's poll. The voting is open from now until midnight on Thursday.

The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams defeated the Marion Eagles last night.  The next game will be Thursday, February 2 the girls basketball teams  will take on NMC at home beginning at 5 pm.
