The library is closed today

 

7th grade – please turn your S.O.S. permission slips in to the office asap.

 

The Missaukee County Sheriff’s office will be offering a boating safety class to students 12 years or older on Saturday, May 16.  You must pre-register to attend the class by calling 839-4338 ext. 1

 

Attention 8th girls interested in playing volleyball: there will be an open gym this Sunday, 4-6:00 PM in the high school gym

 

Student Council – there will be a meeting during 5th hour this coming Monday in Mrs. Gottschall’s room

 

6th grade girls basketball – tomorrow is the last day of practice before tournament on May 9th.

Practice is from 11:30-1:30 at the high school gym. Tournament against Manton and Cadillac is May 9th at Lake City

High jump  Sophie Booms 1st, Autumn Baker tied for 2nd

800 relay  consisting of Taylor, Deforge, Horton, Baker 2nd

800 run  Makayla Schichtel 1st , Monica Smith 2nd , Sydney Helsel 3rd , Cheyenne Woodring 4th

1600 run   Annie Deforge 2nd , Twilight Wagner 4th , Alyssa DuVall 5th

100 dash  Sophie Booms 1st, Brooke Horton 2nd, Taylor Wilkerson 4th

400 run Stacie Hunt 1st , Kaylenna Michaels 4th

3200 relay consisting of Whitney, Maxwell, Smith, Schichital 1st

70 meter dash   Stacie Hunt 3rd , Kayleena Michaels 5th

200 hurdles Autumn Baker 3rd, Nicole Whitney 5th

200 dash   Twilight Wagner 4th , Sydney Helsel 5th

1600 relay consisting of Booms, Guest, Deforge, and Schichtel 1st

400 relay  consisting of Taylor, Whitney, Hunt, Wilkerson 1st

The Trojan Boys traveled south of the Clam River last night to meet up with the McBain Ramblers.  The Big Red Machine was not seeing the green monster at all, allowing the Ramblers only one first place finish the entire evening. 

In the meet:

Storm Francisco placed first in the 70 meter dash and second in the pole vault.

Dan Liestenfeltz placed first in the high jump and second in the 200 meter hurdles.

Levi Burkholder placed first in the long jump and 200 meter dash.

Ryan Vincent took the first place finish in pole vault, second in the 55 meter hurdles and third in the 200 meter hurdles.

Gabe Ruell took first place in the shot put and third in the 200 meter dash.

AJ Gatica won the 55 meter hurdles and the 400 meter dash.

Jimmy Hollars won the 100 meter dash and placed second in the 400 meter dash.

Ethan Wagner won the 3200 meter run as well as winning the 1600 meter run.

Kyler Root won the 800 meter run as well as finishing second in the shot put.

The Lake City relay teams swept the McBain Ramblers.

The 800 meter relay team of Stephan, Marion, Benavides, and Burkholder broke the tape a full four seconds before the Ramblers.

The 3200 meter relay team of Lyle, Cuevas, Liestenfeltz and Root finished a half a lap ahead of the McBain crew.

The 1600 meter relay team of Lyle, Marion, Kunkel and Gatica crossed the line with a 34 second lead.

The 400 meter relay team of Stephan, Fransicso, Platt and Hollars finished three and a half seconds ahead of the Rambler squad.

Also receiving points for the Trojans:

Daniel Cuevas with third in the 70 meter dash and third in the 800 meter dash.

Brent Benavides with a second in the high jump and a second in the 200 meter dash.

Zach Stephan with a third in the high jump.
