Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Friday, October 09, 2015 ...

Homecoming Spirit Points The 7th grade won yesterday's spirit points for ""celebrity or rock star" day with 52% participation. 6th grade came in 2nd with 49% and 8th grade with 40%. We will announce the winners of today's Red & Black Day this afternoon. Go Lake City Team Trojans!


7th and 8th grade students For any 7th or 8th grade students who are interested in the MDOT Bridge Building Competition, please see Mr. Kent as soon as possible.


Dance The first school dance is today from 3:05 until 5:00. The cost is $2. Jason Smith, a former LC graduate, will dj. Pizza and pop will be sold. Pizza is $1. Pop is .75. Your ride must be here to pick you up at 5:00.


7th and 8th Grade Ms. Slocum's Problem Solving class will be hosting a lock-in for 7th & 8th grade students on Friday and Saturday, October 16th and 17th. The cost is $5.00 to attend with a portion of the proceeds going toward projects for the Problem Solving Class. Entertainment provided will be movies and games in the gymnasium for all to enjoy. Forms need to be turned in no later than Wednesday, October 14th. There is a limited number of those who can attend, so get them in early!


Haunted Mansion Miller's Corners will be hosting their 3rd Annual Haunted Mansion Fundraiser for Camp Rotary. Cost of this event will be $5 per person and will take place on the weekend of the October 16th-18th from 8pm until 11pm and Friday, October 23rd from 8pm until 11pm. There will be a hayride, plus food and refreshments will be available. All proceeds go to Lake City Area Schools.


Homecoming Students, today, we will be heading over to the High School for the Homecoming Parade and the Pep Assembly. You will be loading the buses, to go home, at the High School. If you are being picked up by your parents today, please be sure to let them know to pick you up at the high school. For those of you planning on attending the dance, you may walk back over to the Middle School after the assembly is over. If you need to use the phone to call your parents you need to do so during your lunch period. Student Council members, you will be meeting Mrs. Gottschall in the lobby area before you head over for the parade.

Tomorrow we will announce the winners of today's "celebrity or rock star" Day participants. Remember that tomorrow is "red & black" day. Great job to all who are participating

Tomorrow we will announce the winners of today's "class print" Day participants. Remember that Thursday is dress as a "celebrity or rock star" day and Friday is "red & black" day. Great job 6th grade for winning the spirit points 2 days in a row!

Spirit Points The 6th grade won yesterday's spirit points for "fake injury" day with 73% participation. 8th grade came in 2nd with 67% and 7th grade with 51%. Tomorrow we will announce the winners of today's Halloween Day participants. Remember that Wednesday is class pattern day: 6th is camo, 7th is tie dye, and 8th grade is plaid. Thursday is dress as a "celebrity or rock star" day. Friday is "red & black" day.

PE today- Mr. Besko would like to remind all P.E. students that the creative fake injuries are great for spirit week, however, you are still expected to fully participate in P.E. today. Thank you!


Volleyball Come out and support your 7th and 8th grade volleyball team as they take on the Pine River Bucks. Game time is at 5pm.
