Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Wednesday, October 14, 2015 

Parent/Teacher Conferences This week there is a half-day of school on Thursday, October 15th, and NO school on Friday, October 16th. Parent/teacher conferences will take place on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00pm and Thursday from 12:30-3:30p and 5:00-7:00p.

Batteries Don’t know what to do with your old batteries? Bring them to us. There are boxes in Mrs. Bisballe’s classroom and the office. Battery acid isn’t good for the linings in landfills and therefore we would like to make sure they are disposed of properly.

Haunted Mansion Miller's Corners will be hosting their 3rd Annual Haunted Mansion Fundraiser for Camp Rotary. Cost of this event will be $5 per person and will take place on the weekend of the October 16th-18th from 8pm until 11pm and Friday, October 23rd from 8pm until 11pm. There will be a hayride, plus food and refreshments will be available. All proceeds go to Lake City Area Schools.

Jump Start Reminder to students who participate in the Jump Start program; you will not meet on Thursday because of the half day of school.

7th and 8th Grade Ms. Slocum's Problem Solving class will be hosting a lock-in for 7th & 8th grade students on Friday and Saturday, October 16th and 17th. The cost is $5.00 to attend with a portion of the proceeds going toward projects for the Problem Solving Class. Entertainment provided will be movies and games in the gymnasium for all to enjoy. Forms need to be turned in no later than Wednesday, October 14th. There is a limited number of those who can attend, so get them in early!

Reminder to 8th grade Students You will be getting off the bus at the High School tomorrow morning for the PSAT and returning by bus to the Middle School at noon. Be sure to get a good night sleep and start your day with a healthy breakfast.

Sports Our Middle School Volleyball team took on the Marion Eagles last night and both teams came home with the win! Nice job ladies. They also play their last home game of the season on Thursday, game time is at 5pm, come on out and support your team. Our Middle School football team also plays at home tonight. Come cheer on our team at 5:30pm.

Book Fair The Book Fair is this week and will be open 8-3:30 Monday through Wednesday and during Parent Teacher Conferences.
