Attn 8th graders:  9th grade orientation will be Monday, May 11th at 7pm, in the High School Auditorium

 

Anyone that still wants to order a yearbook can pick up an order form from Mrs. Vanderwal in the library.

 

7th grade – please turn your S.O.S. permission slips in to the office asap.

 

8th grade – please turn your Greenfield Village permission slips and restaurant choice paper in to the office asap.

 

6th grade girls basketball will be at the high school gym on Saturday, 11:30 – 1:30 PM

The Lake City Boy’s track team put together another great team effort to overcome the

Manton Rangers and a bitter cold wind last night.

Taking points for fourth place finishes for the Trojans were: Andrew Beattie in the Pole Vault, 1600 meter run and the 200 meter dash, and Jerzey Hancock in the 70 meter dash.

Placing third for the Trojans were: Kevin Kunkel in the 55 meter hurdles, Drew Marion in the 70 meter dash, Chris Swanson in the 1600 meter run, Chris Houghton in the High Jump

Finishing in second for the Trojans were: Storm Francisco in the pole vault, Zach Stephan in the high jump, John Shane in the shot put, Tom Platt in the long jump and the 100 meter dash, Levi Burkholder in the 200 meter dash, Daniel Cuevas in the 800 meter run, AJ Gatica in the 400 meter dash, Ryan Vincent in the 55 and 200 meter hurdles,

Winning events for the Trojans were: Dan Liestenfeltz in the 200 meter hurdles and the high jump, AJ Gatica in the 55 meter hurdles, Storm Francisco in the 70 meter dash, Jimmy Hollars in the back to back events of the 100 meter dash and the 400 meter dash, Ethan Wagner in the 3200 run and the 1600 meter run, Kyler Root in the 800 meter run, Brent Benavides in the 200 meter dash, Levi Burkholder in the long jump and Ryan Vincent in the pole vault. The Lake City Relay teams remained undefeated in conference action with the 3200meter relay of Liestenfeltz, Hancock, Cuevas and Root, the 1600 meter relay of Root, Marion, Kunkel, and Gatica, the 800 meter relay of Stephan, Marion, Benavides and Burkholder and the 400 meter relay of Stephan, Francisco, Platt and Hollars all taking the wins over the relay teams from Manton. The Lake City boys dominated the Rangers with the final score being Manton 40.5 and Lake City 121.5. I’m proud of the level of effort from the entire team. –Coach Randall

800 relay  consisting of Horton, Hunt, Baker, and Booms, 1st

800 run  Makayla Schichtel 1st , Monica Smith 4th

1600 run   Brittnae Barkley 1st, Twilight Wagner 2nd, Elli Fechter 4th

100 dash  Brooke Horton 2nd

400 run Stacie Hunt 1st , Nicole Whitney 3rd, Haley Guest 5th , Karlie Maxwell 6th

3200 relay consisting of Bowers, Helsel, Smith, Schichtel 1st

70 meter dash   Twilight Wagner 2nd,  Kayleena Michaels 6th

The Challenge for the week is to go out of your way to do something nice for yourself. 

 

The Lake City Boy’s track team competed in two track meets on Friday, taking on the

Beal City Aggies and the Marion Eagles.

Ryan Vincent took first in the 200 hurdles against Beal City while placing second against

Marion. Dan Liestenfeltz took a second and a third.

The 3200 relay team of Jerzey Hancock, Dan Liestenfeltz, Daniel Cuevas and Kyler

Root stormed to victory over both competitors

AJ Gatica, Ryan Vincent and Kevin Kunkel finished 1,2,3 in both meets in the 55 meter

hurdles.

Storm Francisco and Drew Marion finshed first and third in the 70 meter dash of both

meets.

Jimmy Hollars finished first in the 100 meters of both meets, while Tom Platt finshed

with a second and a third.

The 800 meter relay team of Zach Stephans, Brent Benavides, Drew Marion and Levi

Burkholder won in both meets.

Chris Swanson and Andrew Beattie finished second and third in both meets in the 1600

meter run.

The 400 meter relay team of Jimmy Hollars, Zach Stephens, Tom Platt and Storm

Francisco won both meets.

AJ Gatica and Jimmy Hollars placed first and second in both meets with Chris Houghton

taking third against Marion.

In the 800 meter run it was Kyler Root taking second in both meets with Daniel Cuevas

taking third in the Marion meet.

In the 200 meter run, it was a one, two, three finish for the Trojans in both meets with

Levi Burkholder, Brent Benavides and Jerzey Hancock taking the top spots.

Ethan Wagner scored a second place finish in the 3200 meter run against Marion.

The Lake City 1600 meter relay team of AJ Gatica, Drew Marion, Kevin Kunkel and

Kyler Root took the win in both meets.

In the long jump, it was Levi Burkholder and Tom Platt finishing first and second in both

meets.

The shot put had Gabe Ruell taking first in both meets Kam Maxwell taking third in the Beal City meet.
