Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Friday, October 24, 2014

Upcoming blood drive at the high school! Lake City High School and the American Red Cross are hosting an upcoming blood drive. What a better day to donate blood, than Halloween? The NHS appreciates your support of the Red Cross. Please join our lifesaving mission and schedule an appointment today! Girls 6th Grade Travel Basketball Team Any 6th grade girls interested in playing travel basketball need to get a registration form from the office. This is a travel league. Parents wil be responsible for providing transportation to and from games. Games are played on Saturdays. Practices will be held twice a week after school in the elementary/high school cafeteria. Forms must be returned to Mrs. Bisballe by October 31.


Halloween events- 5th Annual Boy Scout Haunted House begins continues this weekend Oct. 24 & 25th with the haunted house hours from 6pm-9pm. You can get the autograph of Steve Cook, creator of Legend of the dog Man for a $5 donation beginning at 5 p.m. All profits will be used to benefit the Missaukee County Boy Scout Troop. See flyers in the halls for more information! Miller's Corner Haunted House and Hayride begins Thursday, Oct. 23rd with hours of 8-10pm, Friday & Saturday 8-11pm. and Oct. 30 8-10pm. All proceeds benefit both Lake city and Manton Schools for their week long Camp Rotary stay. More information on the flyers placed in the halls and bulletin boards.


First Middle School Dance Tonight is the first dance of the year! Dress in a costume if you dare (please make sure it is school appropriate) and is from 3:05 to 5:00. The cost is $2. Pizza and pop will also be sold. Please have your ride here at 5:00. School rules will apply.


Ipads Please remember that your ipads should not be in the cafeteria or near food or drink!


Scholastic Book Order For any students who want to submit a book order please have the money and order in by next Wednesday, Oct. 28th to Mrs. Haskin.


Boys basketball practice 8th grade will practice 5 to 5:45 pm; 7th grade will practice 5:45 to 6:30 pm You may use the office phone to call parents.

7th & 8th Boys Basketball Boys basketball try-outs will be Th & Friday of this week. Thursday practice times are: 8th grade-3:30-5, 7th grade is 5-6:30. Friday's practice time is from 5-7pm for both 7th & 8th in the gym. Reminder to all athletes that you need to have your physical card submitted to the office prior to practice. Edit
