Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Wednesday, December 19, 2012

Reminder to students that walk between the two buildings: You must walk up to Huron Street then walk over to the main building. Students are not to walk on Houghton Street.


The Missaukee County Road Commission.... ....requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place. We ask that you be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same times that the buses are picking up students. We urge you to make sure that your children wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop. It is important that we work together to make certain of their safety.


High School weight room will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school to approximately 4:30 pm for all students 8th through 12th grades.


Food Zone.... The Food Zone is open 3:25 to 3:55 at the high school cafeteria. Lots of food choices are available: hot pretzels, pizza, and more. You can purchase food with cash, or use your food service account.

Boys basketball season The boys played their last game of the season last night - The 8th grade team lost their last game of the season last night to Manton 21-51. They finished with a record of 5-7.

 

Also – 7th and 8th grade season ending party will be right after school in Mr. Hubbard’s classroom.

7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball Try outs for girls basketball begin tomorrow and run through Thursday. The 7th grade will begin at 3:30 and go until 5 p.m. 8th grade tryouts are from 5-6:30 p.m. You must have a physical on file.

Boys basketball season The 8th grade boys basketball team beat McBain last night 55-48 because of excellent team effort. The 7th grade boys lost a close game to McBain.  Good work.

Athletic pictures middle school boys basketball will have their pictures taken today after schoolYou will need your complete uniform and order form.

Project Christmas Today is the last day for the Project Christmas food drive. Project Christmas event is scheduled for this Saturday, December 8. The homeroom with the most items donated will be rewarded with an ice cream sundae party!

Boys basketball season The 7th grade boys won over Pine River 51 to 15. Great game all the way around. The 7th grade will practice at 5 pm tonight. The 8th grade boys lost their game last night to Pine River 34-42. 8th grade practice tonight is right after school until 5:00. No practice for either team on Friday.

Boys basketball season Our 7th grade boys beat Marion last night. The score was Lake City- 33 Marion- 8 Great second half effort, super second half played by all 14 players! The boys 8th basketball team won their game last night 54-38. The teams play at Beal City on Monday. Bus time is 4:15 pm
