Reminder to 6th grade students to turn your Camp Rotary tuition money in to the office for collection.
Just a reminder Sixth Grade Team Explore has designated today as Pet Peeve Day. Remember to be considerate of others and be aware of avoiding negative behaviors.
7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball teams lost two games to Pine River last night. The 7th grade team lost 33-16 and the 8th grade team lost 36-29. We play Monday at McBain game time 6:00 PM.

Reminder to 6th grade students to turn your Camp Rotary tuition money in to the office for collection.
7th grade girls interested in playing basketball, sign up is in the office, you must have an athletic physical on file in the office before you can practice.
8th grade girls – there will be an open gym on tonight 6:30-8:00 PM and Saturday, 1/16,
8-10:00 AM at the middle school.
Does it bother you when someone interrupts you when you’re talking? Do you get grossed out when someone is picking their nose? Sixth Grade Team Explore has designated this Friday as Pet Peeve Day. They want to bring awareness to behaviors that are annoying, hurtful, or inconsiderate. Posters have been put around the school highlighting five behaviors that groups in Team Explore want to end. They are: don’t pick your nose, chew with your mouth closed, stop overloading homework, don’t interrupt others when they are speaking, quit bullying, and be considerate of students who are trying to get in their lockers. So on Friday, remember to be considerate of others and be aware of avoiding doing these behaviors.

Monday our 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball teams traveled to Beal City. In the first game the 7th grade boys dropped a tough one 39-27. The eighth grade game was a barn-burner. The lead changed hands at least 8 times with neither team getting more then a 3 pt lead. With 10.6 seconds left in the game with a 24-24 tie score our 8th grade boys executed a perfect out of bound play. Dylan Allard passed the ball to Nathan Holt, Rhett Thompson set a great pick for Drew Marion and Nathan hit Drew with a pass across the middle. Drew was told to drive to the basket and score but Beal City double and tripled teamed him. Rhett Thompson after his pick rolled to the basket and Drew Marion instinctively threw him a bounce pass. Rhett took the ball up strong to the basket and made the winning shot with 2 seconds to go in the game. Great team victory men!
