ANNOUNCEMENTS – Friday, September 16, 2011

The 8th grade volleyball team won their first home game last night against the Evart wildcats. They won all 3 games 25-12, 25-16 and 25-19. Last night the 7th grade volleyball team defeated Evart 25-19, 25-19 and 21-11. Next game is Monday the 19th at Northern Michigan Christian at 6pm.

 

Attention 6th grade:  Beginning Monday, you will be marked tardy if you are late to class.

Student Council runs dances and holds several fundraisers throughout the year.  There are four 6th grade positions, two 7th grade positions, and two 8th grade positions.  Anyone who would like to be on it can pick up a sign-up sheet from Mrs. Gottschall.  It must be properly filled out and returned to Mrs. Gottschall by Tuesday, September 20th.  Student Council voting will be held Friday, September 23rd during Homeroom. Current 7th and 8th grade students who are already on Student Council, and wish to remain on it, need to let Mrs. Gottschall know a.s.a.p. 

The Missaukee County Sheriff's Office will conduct an ORV training class on October 8 at the 404 1st Street (EMS building) beginning at 8 am. Class is limited to 20 students.  All participants must bring a sack lunch but do not bring your ORV.  Please call to pre-register 839-4338 extension 1.

Cadillac Elks is hosting a free soccer shoot contest tomorrow  for students up to 13 years old.  More information is available in the office.

The cafeteria is offering FREE breakfast to all students.

Mobile Dentist will be visiting the Lake City Schools on Tuesday, September 20 and Wednesday, September 21. Mobile dentist forms are in the office if you are interested.

2011 Missaukee Conservation District poster contest information is in the office. If you are interested in submitting a poster stop in the office and pick up the information packet.

The boys middle school football team won a close game last night 42-36. Excellent job for the first game of the year.

The Festival of the Pines teen dance will be held tonight from 6:30 to 8 pm in the food and beverage tent in downtown Lake City. Entry fee is $2.00 open to 6th through 8th grade students only

Today’s football bus will be departing at 3:15 pm The game time has been moved to 5 pm against Pine River.

8th grade won their first game last night against Manton and played 4 games, 25-10, 25-15, 23-25 and 15-4. Everyone did a great job and they played well as a team, next game is home on Thursday against Evart at 5 pm. Last night our 7th grade volleyball team fought hard and played well but came up short in our contest against Manton, 12-25, 24-26 and 22-25. Just a reminder that 7th and 8th grade volleyball team pictures are after school today.
