WEXFORD-MISSAUKEE CAREER TECHNICAL CENTER – The CTC will host a wide variety of summer camps for middle school students, June 17-19. The camps include culinary, floral design, and welding/metal fabrication. Information and registration forms are available in the middle school office.


Middle School Track - Last night the Lake City girls lost to Manton 104 to 44.  The boys lost 102 ½ to 48 ½ to a well-balanced Manton team.

 

The library will be closing on Friday, May 31st. All books will be due back to the library Wednesday, May 29th.


Basketball camps! Manton is hosting their annual basketball camp. If you are interested, please stop in the office and pick up a flyer.


Pennies for Patients coin collection! Did you know that the money are are raising will help fund research? In medicine, research means the careful student of a disease with the goal of find a cure. Your donations will help fund 480 researchers in 15 different countries on five continents! since its founding in 1949, the LLS has invested more than $600 million for research specifically targeting leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Pennies for Patients coin collection! Do you know which US Presidents are on the penny, nickel, dime and quarter? Presidents Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Washington are on our coins. In 2009, the penny got a one-year, four-coin commemorative program marking the 100th anniversary of Lincoln being placed on the center and the 200th anniversary of his birth. Keep those coins coming for Pennies for Patients!

Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Monday, May 06, 2013

Congratulations to the following students as their clocks placed at MITES….. a competition for woodshop projects.

 

1st place- Anthony Beattie

2nd place- Chardennaie Libbet

3rd place- Ryan Edwards

4th place- Torrey Helmer

 

These projects will compete in the state competition at Central Michigan University this Friday and Saturday.  Projects will be open to the public for viewing 8-5 on Friday and 8-noon on Saturday at the Rose center.

Pennies for Patients coin collection! Today we start our second week of Pennies for Patients. I hope you brought in all the coins you found over the weekend. Last week we raised over $500 to help cure cancer, and this week we want to do it again! Do you think it will take a long time to fill your collection box?
