Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Thursday, February 16, 2012

Registration is now open for the Wexford-Missaukee Career Tech Center summer camps, which will be held June 18-20. Cost is $5.00 and is open to students in grades 6 through 8. Camp will be held from 9 am to 12 noon. Selected from automotive, BMA scrapbooking, CAD and Machining, computer and electronics, culinary camp, diesel power mechanics, digital media productions, health careers, junior police academy, power sports and equipment or woodworking. Last night's girls basketball scores 7th grade lost 31 to 17 and the 8th grade won over Pine River 39-26

February 22 - Enjoy the last game of the girls basketball season. The 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams will host the Marion Eagles. Game time is 5 pm

Snow plows.... A reminder to students that the Missaukee County Road Commission snow plows are out on the roads at the same time you are waiting for the busses in the morning. Please be mindful to stay away from the edge of the roadway when snow plows approach.


Trojan Food Zone.... The Trojan Food Zone is now open for business at the high school concession stand. Reasonably priced food and beverages are available on a daily basis beginning at 3:30 p.m. If you have questions, please call Ron Homan (839-6021).


March 3 - LCAS 25th Annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held. Registration forms are available in the office. Cost is $85 per team.


Trip tuition is due! 6th grade Camp Rotary tuition is due! 8th grade students: your Greenfield Village tuition is due by March 15.


March 17 - 3 on 3 tournament The 16th annual Pine River Area 3 on 3 tournament is being held on Saturday, March 17. Stop in the office and pick up a registration form if you are interested in participating. Cost is $80.


March 24 - Reed City 7th Annual 3 on 3 Tournament will be held. Cost is $80 per team. Register by March 20. Those interested may pick up a form in the office.


Reminder to students.... Reminder to students walking to the high school/elementary building.... you must walk to Huron Street and then walk over to the high school/elementary building. You are NOT to walk on Houghton Street.

February 15 - Parent Teacher Conferences will be held TONIGHT at the middle school. Teachers will be available from 5 to 8 pm
