There will be a Festival of the Pines Teen Dance downtown Lake City on Thursday, September 17, 6:30-8:00 PM for 6^th-8^th grade students.  $2.00 entry fee, food and refreshments.

 

If you are interested in helping with school dances, fundraising for the Missaukee Humane Society, or being part of other activities than you may be interested in being part of Student Council.  Different than past years, the 7^th and 8^th grade students who were on Student Council last year will remain as members, if they so choose.  There is, however, still room for four sixth graders, two seventh graders, and two more eighth graders as members.  If you are interested please get a nomination sheet from Mrs. Gottschall and have it completed by the end of the week.

 

Last night the Lake City 8th grade volleyball team came up against a vastly improved Evart team.  However, our ladies rose to the occasion and defeated the Evart Wildcats 15-21, 21-18, 21-13. 

The 7^th grade volleyball team won a great match against Evart, 21-6, 21-15, 21-14.  Keep working and improving.  Our next contest is against NMC away on Thursday.
