Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Wednesday, October 23, 2013 ...

 

The Boy Scouts will host their 4th annual Haunted House on October 25 and 26 from 6-9 p.m. The haunted house is located at the Conservation Gun Club on M-66. Cost is $3 for adults, $4 for kids, and $10 for family.

 

Miller's Haunted Mansion will open on October 24 from 8-10 p.m. Location and additional dates and times are provided on the flyer posted on the announcement board by the office. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the 6th grade Camp Rotary program. Th

 

Mobile Dentist will be here on October 24 and 25. There is still time to turn in your registration form which is available in the office.

 

Dance! Dance! Dance! The first dance will be Friday after school from 3:05 until 5:00. The cost is $2. Pizza and pop will be sold too. Former Lake City grad Jason Smith will dj again this year. Please have your ride here at 5:00 to pick you up. School rules apply at the dance.

 

Snowmobile Safety Class! The Cadillac Winter Warriors Snowmobile Club is sponsoring a FREE snowmobile safety class on Saturday, November 2. It will be held at the Tustin Elementary School. Students must be 12 years old by January 2014 to participate. Proof of age is required at registration. To register, call 231-768-4069 or 231-735-4027 to reserve your spot. You may need to leave a message.

 

7th and 8th grade boys' basketball Try-out Info! 8th grade will practice from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. both days at the high school gym. 7th grade will practice from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the high school, and 5 to 6:30 pm on Friday at the middle school. Middle School students are NOT permitted to be at the high school until 4:30. Report directly to the gym. All boys who signed up to play basketball, please report to Mr. Hubbard's room at this time.

 

The Missaukee County Road Commision requests your coopration through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place. We ask that you be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same times that the busses are picking up students. We urge you to make sure that your children wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop. It is important that we work together to make certain of their safety.

 

6th grade girls traveling basketball team info! Any 6th grade girls interested in playing on the traveling basketball team can pick up registration forms in the office. The registration forms must be returned, with the payment of $10, by Friday, November 1st.
