Lake City Middle School Bulletin for Friday, January 17, 2014 ...

 

The Missaukee County Road Commission requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place. Please be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same times as the busses. Make sure that you wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at the stop.

 

Mrs. Chadwick would like to remind all students: students are only permitted to exit through the doors to the outside lab; you are not allowed to exit through any other door. Also, students using the outside lab during home room will be dismissed as a group at the end of homeroom.

 

Last night the 7th grade girls beat Evart 26 to 10, and the 8th grade won 26-20.  An outstanding effort was given by all.

 

American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Babysitter's Training will be offered January 25, February 22, March 29 and April 26. The classes will be offered at Trinity Health, McAuley Center, Dublin Room, 400 Hobart Street, Cadillac. There is a fee. To register call 1-800-redcross or visit www.redcross.org.

 

WINTER WEIGHT ROOM will be open Monday/Wednesday/Thursday from 3:30-4:45 pm beginning Monday, January 6. The weight room is open to grade 8-12

 

Girls basketball team pictures will be taken on January 21 after school. You will need your uniforms.

 

School Ski/Snowboard Program: A reminder to students who are interested in going on our next trip on Monday, January 27th, please sign up in the office by the end of this week.

 

Reminder to shop and algebra students: Shop students will report to Mr. Randall's 1st hour class Thursday and Friday. Algebra students will report to Ms. Slocum's 1st hour class Thursday and Friday. Both shop and algebra students will report to the library during homeroom.

 

There will be an open gym for middle school boys on Monday January 20th in the Middle School gym from 3:05-4:15. Any 7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing baseball is welcome to attend. Please bring your own glove.
